Holly Perkins is a 20 year veteran of women’s fitness. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. She is the author of Lift to Get Lean and is a frequent contributor to Women’s Health, Prevention, SELF, Shape, Fitness, Yahoo, and LIVESTRONG.
Women’s Strength Nation is a virtual community for women committed to cultivating personal strength through the development of physical strength. Through the practice of strength training, women develop a stronger sense of themselves which extends far beyond simply a fitness conversation. Strong women are unstoppable.
Holly Perkins started Women’s Strength Nation after a challenging time in her own life. Through her workouts, she discovered that strength training was a metaphor for life, and that her workouts were more effective than her therapist. The stronger she became in the gym, the stronger she became in life.
From the ashes of life’s challenges, she emerged in the best shape of her life…at the age of 40. Holly created The GLUTES Project from the desire to transform her own butt from average to wow. She built it for herself, and quickly realized that it should be shared with the world.
