Women, Strength and Muscles

When it comes to muscles, strength and size are not synonymous. Soooooo many people think that strong muscles mean big muscles. I was determined to explore this concept in my book Lift to Get Lean, and strength is the foundation to Women’s Strength Nation.

You can be strong and have tight, lean, feminine muscles. You can also be strong and have some impressive muscle volume. It’s important to understand that achieving either one is dependent on the specific variables in your training program. The outcome is determined by the way that you work out.

So. If you want to feel strong without an increase in your muscle size, you need to follow specific protocols in your strength workouts. If you want to build muscle – as some women do, myself included! – you’ll need to follow a different protocol.

Therefore….

Yes, some women have the ability to bulk up. But it won’t happen by mistake and it will never happen over night.

Irrespective of your interest in bulky muscle, there is a very specific protocol you must follow in order to improve strength. It breaks my heart to hear that you have had lackluster results in the gym. Your time is precious and you have none to waste!

That is exactly why I wrote Lift to Get Lean. I was passionate about helping women understand what it takes to feel empowered.

You have the ability to transform your body in any way that you dream. So dream! Take action and go after your health and fitness goals. At the age of 40, I radically changed my body and my life through strength training. I am not special or exceptional. I am just like you. If I can do it, you can too. I mean it.

In today’s video I share some thoughts on women, bulk and getting strong. If you are committed to making some changes in your life, check this out right now:
